Omschrijving

A pair of earrings in the shape of conch shells, a pair similar to that published from the Jakarta Museum (Inv.No.A 781), and represenatative of common, ancient Javanese adornments which existed in inexhaustible variety of types and shapes, using animal, as well as floral motifs. Many or most of these date from the Modjopahit Period (1293-16th century).
